1.0 Webinar #1: Leadership and Setting the Tone for Change

The Provider Transformation Manual’s first module and webinar explore the necessity for strong leadership in the transformation process and the many forms that leadership can take. The webinar lays out how to leverage leadership from the beginning stages of changing an organization, including getting buy-in from a board of directors, convening people to help manage the change, and conducting an organizational self-assessment. It also details how an organization must fundamentally alter its perception of how to best serve people with disabilities, and that it should develop a strong mission statement that emphasizes the importance of community integration for people with disabilities.
