WIOA NPRMS Now Available

On April 2, 2015, the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) issued five notices of proposed rulemaking (NPRMs) on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Signed into law July 2014, WIOA places a strong emphasis on assisting job seekers and workers with and without disabilities succeed in today’s workforce. In addition, the law better matches employers with skilled workers, while at the same time providing such workers with much-needed education, skills training and career services. The NPRMs will be published in the Federal Register soon, at which time the official 60-day comment period will begin. Until then, the NPRMs are available for unofficial viewing only.
