North Dakota XR fpr VR Program

“Discover Bismarck State College’s XR for VR project, using immersive technology to connect North Dakotans with disabilities to high-wage manufacturing careers. Funded by a $9.9M Disability Innovation Fund grant.
Through a multi-faceted approach, BSC and its partners will pilot a replicable, postsecondary-based model to support individuals with disabilities to access Competitive Integrated Employment; strengthen North Dakota’s Competitive Integrated Employment ecosystem by collaborating with disability service providers, educators, and manufacturing employers; and develop and strategically locate accessible and affordable advanced technology infrastructure.”

North Carolina Executive Order No. 11: Directing North Carolina’s Progress on Workforce Development (2025)

Whereas, the State of North Carolina recognizes that workforce development is essential to fuel the state’s continued economic growth, ensure employers have the local talent necessary to meet their needs, and expand pathways to careers that support thriving families and communities across our state…
This executive order outlines workforce development activity to include: establishment of the Governor’s Council on Workforce and Apprenticeships, focus on Apprenticeships, innovation in state government, etc.

North Carolina Report on Workforce Development Goals (2025)

“A report from the Governor’s Council on Workforce and Apprenticeships (“The Council”), as established by Executive Order No. 11…This initial report identifies the Council’s recommended goals and is the result of thoughtful discussion, strong stakeholder engagement, and analysis of data and existing goals. On June 12, 2025 the Governor’s Council on Workforce and Apprenticeships, housed within the NCWorks Commission, voted to approve 11 workforce development goals designed to meaningfully and holistically grow and prepare North Carolina’s workforce development efforts over the next four years.”
