Arkansas SB 50: Workforce and Social Service Reform (2025)

Summary: Provides that the Hospital, Medicaid, and Developmental Disabilities Study Subcommittee shall conduct a study of issues related to the reform of the States workforce and social services, including a study of State models for coordinating and fully integrating workforce, social services, education, child care, and healthcare programs, as well as alternative approaches, including the Unemployment Insurance Program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program, and the Child Care Assistance Program.

Arkansas HB 1766: RISE Act (2025)

Summary: Creates the Arkansas Respond, Innovate, Succeed, and Empower (RISE) Act, provides that the specified information submitted to an institution of higher education will be considered in evaluating whether a student has a disability, including, among other things, documentation of a disability due to military service, provides that an institution shall engage in an interactive process to document the accommodation needs of a student with a disability and establish a reasonable accommodation or accommodations.

Arkansas Workers with Disabilities

The Workers with Disabilities Medicaid program provides full Medicaid coverage to individuals with disabilities who are employed. The primary goal is to support disabled individuals in maintaining employment while ensuring they have access to necessary healthcare.
