PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITION SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

~~“Michigan Rehabilitation Services, in coordination with schools and other community partners, will offer Pre-Employment Transition Services for students with disabilities ages 14-26 in secondary or post-secondary education. Services are designed to be an early start at job exploration and to assist students with disabilities in making transition from education/training to competitive, integrated employment. Services include:
1. Job Exploration Counseling
2. Work-based Learning Experiences
3. Counseling on Post-Secondary Educational Programs
4. Workplace Readiness Training
5. Self-Advocacy Training, to include Peer Mentoring”
