Illinois Disabled Workers Programs

“The Central Management Services Division of Recruitment and Retention administers several programs and services for people with disabilities through the Disabled Workers Programs. The Disabled Workers Programs are administered through the CMS Disability Resource Center.

• The Disabled Workers Trainee and Successful Disability Opportunities Programs provide individuals with disabilities accessibility to meaningful employment with the State of Illinois.
• The Alternative Employment Program helps current, certified State of Illinois employees, who have become disabled and can no longer work in their positions, find alternate titles within the State.
• The Accommodated Testing Program is administered to provide persons with disabilities testing assistance.
