“NEBRASKA WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT
WHEREAS, the variety of employment and training programs available in Nebraska present numerous opportunities to more effectively manage, through coordination, the workforce development needs of the employer and applicant community’; and WHEREAS, one agency needs to be designated as the lead agency for acting as the grant recipient for the purpose of administering and monitoring the expenditure of grant funds received by the State of Nebraska under pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act…
May also include a representatives of community-based organizations that have demonstrated experience and expertise in addressing the employment, training, or education needs of individuals with barriers to employment, including organizations that serve veterans or that provide or support competitive, integrated en1ployment for individuals with disabilities”
Michigan Executive Order 2015-15: Employment First in Michigan
“All state departments and agencies that provide services and support to persons with disabilities, and all state departments and agencies that provide employment, economic development, or other related services, shall implement Employment First in Michigan by coordinating efforts and collaborating to ensure that state programs, policies, procedures, and funding support competitive employment within an integrated setting as the first priority and optimal outcome for persons with disabilities.”
Utah Executive Order 2016-1: Rescinding Prior Executive Orders
“Executive Order issued March 28, 1978, by Governor Matheson, establishing the “Governor’s Committee on Employment of the Handicapped” created to promote and to encourage employment of disabled individuals and vocational, economic, and social opportunities. This order is rescinded because Utah’s 2012 Employment First statute, Utah Code 62A-5-103.3, fulfills the same purpose.”

Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-04: Equal Employment Opportunity
“WHEREAS, this Administration is committed to strengthening and developing equal employment opportunity programs in the Commonwealth. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Tom Wolf, Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania do hereby order and direct as follows:
1. Prohibition of Discrimination and Affirmation of Equal Employment Opportunity.
a. No agency under the Governor’s jurisdiction shall discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, union membership, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, AIDS or HIV status, or disability.
b. Each agency under the Governor’s jurisdiction shall ensure fair and equal employment opportunities exist at every level of government”
Louisiana Executive Order JBE 2016-11: Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination (2016)
“No state agencies, departments, offices, commissions, boards, entities or officers of the State of Louisiana shall harass or discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, political affiliation, disability, or age against any individual in the provision of any service and/or benefit by such agencies, departments, offices, commissions, boards or entities.”
Louisiana Executive Order JBE 16-45: Louisiana Rehabilitation Council (2016)
“Whereas, the State Rehabilitation Council was originally established by executive order to provide Louisiana’s citizens with disabilities assistance in their pursuit of meaningful careers and gainful employment through specific programs.
Preparing and submitting an annual report to the governor and the commissioner of the Rehabilitation Service Administration, Washington, D.C., on the status of vocational rehabilitation programs operating within the state, and making the report available to the public.
Providing for coordination and the establishment of working relationships between Louisiana Rehabilitation Services, the Statewide Independent Living Council, and the Centers for Independent Living within the state.”
