Virginia Community Living Waiver

“Community Living is available to both children and adults. People with this waiver usually require supports in their homes all the time. Some people may need to live in a home that has staff to support them with functional skills and/or complex medical and/or behavioral needs.”

“Formerly the Intellectual Disability Waiver, the purpose of the Community Living home and community-based 1915(c) waiver is to provide support in the community rather than in an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) or related condition.”
