On June 30, 2016, the Departments of Labor (DOL) and Education (ED) issued a Joint Final Rule to implement the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). As noted by the Department of Labor (DOL), WIOA is landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and people with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers. WIOA also assists employers in hiring and retaining skilled workers.

Join this webinar to learn about the provisions in Title I of the Final Rule that create opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities. Learn about resources available to support implementation and hear about WIOA implementation from a disability perspective from leadership in DOL’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), and from National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) and the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).
