LEAD Center Partners with National Association of State Workforce Agencies
On Friday, November 15, the LEAD Center, managed by the National Disability Institute on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA). NASWA was established in 1937 to build the capacity and promote the activities and accomplishments of state workforce development agencies. The MOU will provide a framework for collaboration between the two organizations to support meaningful and effective participation of jobseekers with disabilities with services offered by American Job Centers and positively impact employment and economic advancement for our target audience of youth and adults with disabilities. The LEAD Center looks forward to the efforts of this collaboration to aid in advancing the employment and economic self-sufficiency for all people with disabilities.
