In the Know: HCBS Advocacy
In January 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued final regulations on acceptable and unacceptable home and community based services (HCBS) settings. Unfortunately, even more than a year later, some people are still uncertain about the new regulations and what it means for the future of disability services.
To help, HCBS Advocacy, supported by Association of Unversity Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), serves as a “one-stop shop” for all information, resources and news related to CMS’ new HCBS regulations. HCBS Advocacy can answer FAQ’s and provides info on a state-by-state basis on implementation of the new HCBS regulation.
