September is Self Improvement Month, a month-long initiative to empower individuals to take a more hands-on approach to improve the various aspects of their life.
As a result, today's "In the Know" features the website section of the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), U.S. Department of Labor. The webpage showcases economic advancement resources for people with disabilities. Resources include connections to financial education, asset development programs and information as well as work and tax credits and incentives to assist people with disabilities in taking hold of their own financial futures through budgeting, debt management, investing and planning for retirement with an understanding of disability benefit programs such as Social Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI).
